The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases: knowledge development, confined water dives, and open water dives. In the knowledge development phase, you’ll learn about the basic principles of scuba diving, including dive equipment, diving physics, and safe diving practices.

In the confined water dives, you’ll practice and master the essential scuba skills, such as setting up and using scuba gear, buoyancy control, and underwater communication.

In the final phase of the course, the open water dives, you’ll apply everything you’ve learned by actually diving in open water. Your PADI Instructor will guide you through four open water dives, where you’ll demonstrate your skills and explore the underwater world.

The PADI Open Water Diver course typically takes three days to complete, but the pace of the course can be adjusted to fit your schedule and learning needs.

Upon completion of the course, you’ll receive a PADI Open Water Diver certification card, which is recognized worldwide and allows you to dive to a depth of 18 meters (60 feet) with a certified buddy.
