PADI Open Water Diver Course in Krabi, Ao Nang and Phi Phi Islands
The PADI Open Water Diver course in Krabi covers three main phases: knowledge development, confined water dives, and open water dives. In the first phase, you will learn the fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment, diving physics, and safe diving practices.
The confined water session takes place in a pool, where you will practice essential scuba skills such as setting up your gear, buoyancy control, and underwater communication. This is where you build the foundation before heading into the sea.
The final phase takes you into open water for four guided dives around Ao Nang or Phi Phi Islands. Your PADI instructor will be with you throughout, helping you demonstrate your skills while you explore Krabi’s underwater world.
The course typically takes 3 days to complete, though the pace can be adjusted to suit your schedule. Once you finish, you will receive a PADI Open Water Diver certification card, recognised worldwide, which qualifies you to dive independently with a buddy to a depth of 18 metres.
