SCUBA DIVING FOR BEGINNERS
Our beginner scuba diving in Krabi is run with a maximum of 2 students per PADI instructor, so you are never just a number. You will cover the basics in shallow water first, then head out to a real dive site in Ao Nang or Koh Phi Phi for your first proper underwater experience.

Mr. Dolphin Diving is based in Ao Nang, Krabi, Thailand. Our address is 247 Moo 2, T.Aonang, A.Muang, Krabi 81180. We offer free hotel pickup for guests staying in the Ao Nang area, and run dive trips to local Krabi reefs as well as Koh Phi Phi Island.
We offer PADI courses at all levels (DSD through Divemaster), fun dives for certified divers, and private snorkeling charters. All diving takes place in Krabi, with options for scuba diving in Ao Nang or scuba diving at Koh Phi Phi, depending on your course or dive package.
Yes. Mr. Dolphin runs Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) sessions and the PADI Open Water course with a maximum of 2 to 4 students per instructor. No prior experience is needed for DSD, and the minimum age is 10 years.
Yes. Mr. Dolphin offers scuba diving in Koh Phi Phi as part of both PADI course packages and fun dive trips. Phi Phi is one of the best scuba diving destinations in Krabi, known for strong marine biodiversity, shark sightings, and clear Andaman Sea visibility.

First, we went to the shop to find out what options were available for me (I have a diving certificate but had been out for a long time) and my boyfriend (a beginner). Luca gave us excellent and helpful advice and recommended the day with the best weather forecast.
Before the trip, we tried on fins so we'd have the right size for the dive.
There were three of us on the longtail boat with four instructors.
My boyfriend and I had a 3:2 instructor ratio.
Luca had an underwater camera and took some beautiful pictures of us on our first dive.
We did two one-hour dives at two different locations. Between dives, we had an hour's break and were served freshly cut pineapple.
After the second dive, we had warm rice with vegetables and meat.
Everyone on the boat spoke excellent English, and communication was no problem.
The transfer from the hotel was free.

Everything was very well organized, which made the whole trip smooth and enjoyable. The boat was clean and never overcrowded, so there was always space to relax properly after each dive.
The instructors were professional and supportive, and the crew on board were fantastic throughout. There were always snacks after each dive, the food was tasty, and the team made sure we were well taken care of the entire time. Pickup was consistently arranged, which made logistics very easy.

I went diving with Mr Dolphin Diving and had a great time. My girlfriend who does not dive joined the boat and went snorkelling. Everyone from the dive center was super cool and nice
It was an amazing experience, we’ve seen sharks, turtles and snakes (I couldn’t imagine that before diving).

For fellow divers; we are a Canadian couple who were looking to dive in Ao Nang. We walked the town and visited several shop but Gianiuca gave us the best vibe.
The boat crew was good, the boat very clean, lunch provided super good, our guide very knowledgeable and helpful. The equipment is well maintained and prices reasonable. We also liked that we were a small group to dive and diver to instructor ratio 4:1.
We recommend this dive shop and wouldn't hesitate to go dive with them again.

The Open Water Diver costs a whole lot of money, that should be clear in advance, but it was definitely incredibly organized, everything was very uncomplicated and reliable, with taxi service, and lunch between the dives, a group of participants put together on request, etc. So the course is definitely worth the money!
Marvin did a really strong job, was patient in every situation and took all participants along with him! I learned a lot, especially about what you see when diving, and had a lot of fun! Even if it was a bit tough at the beginning.
Moreover, the underwater world is stunning. We could not have wished for a better diving experience.
The dive itself was magical, with incredible marine life. Luca knew the perfect spots to spot the animals and I swam through shoals of fish, saw a turtle, Murray and other creatures. Luca also took amazing photos and videos of me during the dive, so I was able to capture what I saw! :)The post-dive lunch was delicious, and the mango sticky rice and watermelon were perfect snacks!
Overall, the team’s attention to detail was outstanding and ensured I had a safe & memorable experience. I had a fantastic time and will definitely dive again with Mr Dolphin when I’m back 🙂
