The PADI Scuba Diver course in Krabi is a condensed version of the PADI Open Water Diver program, built for people who are short on time but still want a recognised scuba diving certification.
As a certified PADI Scuba Diver, you can dive to a maximum depth of 12 metres under the direct supervision of a PADI professional. You will always be accompanied by a dive guide or instructor throughout every dive, which is a great way to build confidence while exploring the reefs around Ao Nang and Phi Phi Islands.
If your goal is to eventually dive independently, the Scuba Diver certification counts as credit toward the full PADI Open Water Diver course. Open Water certification lets you dive with a buddy without a professional present, opening up more dive sites across Krabi and beyond.
Even though this is a shorter scuba course, it still covers the knowledge and skills needed for safe diving in Krabi. Whether you plan to keep diving with a guide or work toward full PADI certification, the skills you learn here stay with you for every dive after.

What You Should Know?
The PADI Scuba Diver course is a 2-day beginner certification that qualifies you to dive to 12 meters under the direct supervision of a PADI professional. Mr. Dolphin runs this course in Ao Nang, Krabi, with open water dives at either local Ao Nang reef sites or Koh Phi Phi Island.
The Scuba Diver course takes 2 days compared to 3 days for the Open Water course, and certifies you to dive to 12 metres under professional supervision rather than independently to 18 metres with a buddy. Both courses start with the same pool session and knowledge development at our Ao Nang dive center.
Yes. Mr. Dolphin offers the choice of completing your open water dives at Ao Nang local reefs or at Koh Phi Phi Island. Scuba diving in Phi Phi is a popular option even for course dives, as the marine life and visibility are exceptional. The course price is 10,500 THB and covers insurance, PADI materials, all diving equipment, free hotel pickup in the Ao Nang area, lunch, and drinks on your dive day. Marine park fees for Phi Phi are additional and subject to change.
