The PADI Open Water and Nitrox course in Krabi combines two certifications into one 3-day program. You get the full Open Water Diver training alongside the Enriched Air Nitrox course, so you finish ready to dive independently and make the most of every dive.
Nitrox, or Enriched Air, contains a higher percentage of oxygen than regular air. This means longer bottom times and shorter surface intervals, which is particularly useful when diving the reefs around Ao Nang and Phi Phi Islands where you want to spend as much time underwater as possible.
The Open Water portion covers three phases: knowledge development, a pool session to practice essential scuba skills, and four open water dives in the sea. Your PADI instructor will guide you through each stage at a pace that suits you.
Combining both courses saves you time compared to taking them separately. It is a practical choice for anyone who wants to start diving in Krabi with a solid foundation and the added advantage of Nitrox from day one. Once certified, you can join our fun dives around Krabi and put your Nitrox certification to use straight away.

What You Should Know?
The Open Water + Nitrox package is a combined 3-day course at Mr. Dolphin in Ao Nang that earns you two PADI certifications: the Open Water Diver and the Enriched Air Nitrox. Both certifications are completed together, with all four open water dives in Ao Nang or Phi Phi conducted on Nitrox tanks.
Nitrox gives you longer no-decompression limits on each dive and shorter surface intervals between them. For guests planning a full day at Koh Phi Phi or multiple dives around Ao Nang, this makes a real practical difference. Yes. No previous dive experience is required. The course is open to anyone aged 10 and over who can swim and is comfortable in water. The Nitrox theory is straightforward and is taught alongside your standard Open Water knowledge sessions without adding significant extra time to the course.
The course costs 19,500 THB, which is 4,000 THB more than the standard Open Water course and covers the addition of a Nitrox analyser, Nitrox tanks for all dives, and the Nitrox certification materials. All other inclusions are the same.
